CFO OPPORTUNITY - Development and Real Estate Industry (Bilingual : English & French)

Compensation Package : $200,000 - $250,000 + bonus + profit sharing options + 4 weeks’ vacation + benefits package + onsite parking

Team : 10 direct reports (Reporting directly to the President)

Responsibilities :

Financial Strategy Aligned with Growth

  • Develop a financial strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Provide strategic analysis and visionary leadership to exceed performance targets.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure long-term viability.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and current provincial and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate audit functions, governance policies, and internal controls.
  • Monitor business risks, financial commitments, and exposures, while implementing risk management strategies.

Operational and Financial Leadership

  • Provide strategic financial leadership to senior management, external partners, and investors.
  • Identify and secure funding sources.
  • Analyze business performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth.
  • Prepare detailed monthly financial reports and profit and loss statements.
  • Lead the implementation of scalable financial systems, when needed.
  • Manage cash flow in support of strategic decisions.

Organizational Leadership and Impact

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team, including recruitment, training, and talent engagement.
  • Optimize internal processes and strengthen financial information production frameworks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree (MBA) in finance, strategy, or management is highly preferred for this senior-level position (an asset).
  • Over 10 years of experience in financial forecasting, risk management, and financing strategies.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • Strong expertise in accounting and financial structuring.
  • Full professional fluency in French and English.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships. They will collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.

  • Support the financial planning and analysis efforts
  • Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
