Many Nations Financial Services Ltd. (a subsidiary of Many Nations Co-operative Ltd.) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer based in Saskatoon SK

Many Nations Financial Services Ltd. is an insurance brokerage company based in Saskatoon SK and offers group life and health benefits and retirement solutions to clients (primarily Indigenous) across Canada.

After 25+ years with our organization, our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is retiring, and we are seeking an individual with proven management, leadership and business development experience to lead our team of independent service representatives and employees into the future.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Board of Directors and will:

-oversee the day-to-day management of the organization to ensure efficiency and effectiveness;

-possess excellent financial management skills;

-understand group life and health benefits and retirement solutions;

-understand Indigenous cultures and taxation;

-have demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution;

-demonstrate proven ability to inspire and lead a diverse team;

-travel as required;

-foster a positive organizational culture and work environment.

Qualifications Skills and Experience

1. Combined education and experience to support the duties entailed in the role: finance, business development and overall company management;

2. Good working knowledge of group life and health benefits, retirement and individual products, the insurance industry, financial institutions and investment management;

3. Knowledge and experience consistent with sound financial management, including an understanding of financial systems and accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE);

4. Proven capability as an effective communicator, oral and written;

5. Excellent team building and team playing skills;

6. An appreciation and sensitivity to the diversity of opinions, skills and talents of others.
