Job summary

Brandt is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Leader to drive strategic direction and growth across sports, entertainment, hospitality, and venue operations. You will oversee financial performance, major partnerships, and cross-divisional collaboration to deliver sustained success for the organization and its communities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, sports, finance, hospitality, marketing, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree is an asset.
  • 10+ years of executive leadership experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, venue management, or related industries.
  • Proven track record leading complex, multi-division organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth, operational excellence, and revenue performance.
  • Strong financial management and strategic planning capabilities.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Strategic Leadership

  • Developing and executing the organization’s long-term strategic vision and business plan.
  • Identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and growth initiatives across sports, entertainment, hospitality, and venue operations.
  • Aligning all departments and business units with organizational priorities and performance objectives.
  • Evaluating market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging industry opportunities.
  • Driving innovation across operations, technology, guest experience, and fan engagement.
  • Supporting long-term asset development, facility modernization, and capital planning initiatives.

Financial Leadership & Business Performance

  • Providing overall financial leadership and accountability for organizational performance.
  • Overseeing annual operating budgets, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Monitoring financial performance, cost management, and operational efficiency across all divisions.
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) across the organization.
  • Leading major commercial negotiations related to sponsorships, partnerships, leases, and strategic transactions.
  • Supporting revenue growth initiatives across ticketing, sponsorship, premium hospitality, retail, food & beverage, and media operations.

Organizational Leadership & Culture

  • Recruiting, developing, and mentoring a high-performing executive leadership team.
  • Building a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, professionalism, and operational excellence.
  • Supporting leadership development and succession planning across the organization.
  • Ensuring effective communication and alignment across departments and business units.
  • Driving employee engagement and organizational performance initiatives.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety, compliance, and organizational values.

Venue Operations & Event Execution

  • Overseeing venue operations and ensuring operational excellence across all facilities and entertainment properties.
  • Supporting the planning and execution of concerts, sporting events, conventions, exhibitions, and community events.
  • Ensuring exceptional guest, fan, sponsor, and partner experiences at all events and facilities.
  • Supporting operational readiness, customer service standards, and facility maintenance initiatives.
  • Leading efforts related to infrastructure investment and operational modernization.

Revenue Generation & Commercial Growth

  • Leading strategies to maximize revenue generation across all commercial business units.
  • Supporting sponsorship sales, partnerships, merchandising, hospitality, and ticketing growth initiatives.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate partners and stakeholders.
  • Supporting development of owned brands, retail operations, and licensing opportunities.
  • Championing data-driven sales, marketing, and customer engagement strategies.

Community & Stakeholder Relations

  • Serving as the primary spokesperson and public representative of the organization.
  • Building strong relationships with leagues, governing bodies, municipalities, sponsors, media, and community organizations.
  • Strengthening the organization’s profile, reputation, and community impact.
  • Supporting community engagement, philanthropic, and grassroots initiatives.
  • Ensuring the organization operates with integrity, transparency, and social responsibility.

Governance & Compliance

  • Working closely with the Ownership Group to support governance and strategic oversight.
  • Ensuring compliance with league regulations, legal requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Overseeing enterprise risk management and organizational controls.
What We Look For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Finance, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field

  • 10+ years of progressive executive leadership experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, venue management, or related industries.

  • Experience negotiating major commercial partnerships and business agreements.
  • Strong understanding of sports and entertainment operations, live events, and guest experience management.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
