Job description

PAVRO Recruitment has partnered with one of the largest and well-respected hotel brands in the world in their hunt for a CEO for their Niagara Falls property and additional properties in the Niagara region.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

In terms of reporting, the CEO would report into the Board of Directors and would oversee the executive team.

Role Overview
  • Oversee the strategic and operational performance of Hospitality Resorts Inc., including the management of each hotel franchise, restaurant, venue, and attraction.
  • Ensure the success and growth of the business portfolio in alignment with the objectives established by the owners.
  • Strategically align the business vision, mission, values, and objectives with the operations.
  • Drive consistency in the employee and customer experience across all properties and assets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the business strategy.
  • Identify new opportunities to present to the board of directors for approval.
  • Align business resources with key growth areas, strategic objectives, and priorities.
  • Continuously monitor performance metrics across the business (e.g., occupancy rates, revenue, asset management, customer experience, and profitability).
  • Oversee investments and financial management of the business.
  • Collaborate with HR to align talent acquisition with the strategic plan objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen the brand and customer loyalty.
  • Manage risk and unexpected challenges within the business and the market.
  • Lead the executive team and engage all executives in regular team meetings.
Performance Management

The CEO’s performance is typically assessed by the board of directors using both quantitative metrics and direct feedback. Performance metrics may include:

  • Financial performance (e.g., revenue growth, ROI)
  • Operational efficiency (e.g., occupancy, turnover, sales)
  • Customer experience (e.g., guest feedback, ratings)
  • Market competition (e.g., Niagara region comparison)
  • Employee engagement (e.g., surveys, retention rate)
Reporting to the Board

CEOs are expected to report to the board of directors on a regular basis (as determined by the board). Reports are typically delivered in advance of meetings and discussed to address key concerns and questions.
