Position Summary

The Crop Production/Hay & Forage GPP is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead engineering for the Seeding Platform. This global role oversees engineering requirements to meet and exceed platform goals related to product design, cost, and release timing across the full Product Lifecycle.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and mentor the Engineering team, ensuring clarity of vision and customer satisfaction.
2. Create engineered product solution plans supporting product development and ensure team understanding.
3. Supervise and review work of project and design engineers to meet milestones within budget.
4. Own the technical solution and ensure the vehicle's functional performance.
5. Ensure design compliance with international Homologation and Safety standards.
6. Drive product reliability using proactive tools and best engineering practices.
7. Define project actions aligned with objectives and document technical specifications.
8. Plan and allocate resources effectively, including hiring and managing outsourced engineering resources.
9. Prepare documentation for major milestone reviews and manage budgets and forecasts.
10. Contribute to product roadmap development and represent global seeding technology expertise.

Salary Range

$125,250 CAD - $167,000 CAD annually, dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
• At least 10 years of product development experience, preferably in agriculture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) licensure.
• Project or Program Management experience.
• Experience managing teams.
