The Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Government is a modern treaty Nation under the Maa-nulth Final Agreement. The Opportunity

As Chief Administrative Officer, you will be the senior administrative leader for the Nation. Reporting to the Executive, you will oversee policy development, strategic planning, human resources, financial management, and the delivery of programs and services to meet community goals. You will guide operations, support governance processes, and strengthen intergovernmental relationships while advancing community priorities such as housing, education, economic development, and cultural renewal. This role provides the chance to make a lasting impact on the administration, services, and legacy of the Nation.

The Ideal Candidate
  • You hold a degree in Public Administration, Business, Political Science, Indigenous Studies, or a related field, along with at least 10 years of progressive senior management experience, including five years in a senior leadership role within a government, First Nation, Indigenous organization, or similarly complex environment. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is considered an asset.
  • You bring proven expertise in policy development, human resources, and financial stewardship, as well as experience working with Indigenous governments and governance processes. Cultural respect, diplomacy, and the ability to build trust and consensus while managing operations with confidence and independence are essential.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of $160,000–$200,000 plus an excellent benefits package, employer-matched pension, generous vacation and leave entitlements, relocation assistance, professional development, and staff housing support.
