The Opportunity
As the CAO, you will serve as the senior administrative leader of the RM, reporting directly to the Mayor and Council. You will oversee the execution of the Council’s strategic direction, manage municipal operations, and ensure that services are delivered effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with legislative and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will bring:
· A minimum of 5–7 years of progressive senior leadership experience in a municipal or public sector setting.
· A degree in Public or Business Administration, or a related discipline; a master’s degree or Certificate in Manitoba Municipal Administration is considered an asset.
· Proven success in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and financial oversight, particularly in multi-service environments.
· Strong knowledge of municipal legislation, including the Municipal Act and regulatory frameworks.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with Council, staff, residents, and external stakeholders.
