Saltworks Technologies, a leading Canadian cleantech company, seeks a Chemistry Technician to support operation and testing of pilot-scale water treatment processes and lithium refining systems. The role emphasizes meticulous data collection, lab work, and hands-on maintenance in a fast-paced environment in Richmond, BC.

The ideal candidate holds a Chemistry-related degree or diploma, 0–3 years of post-graduation experience, and strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma in Chemistry or Environmental Technology.
• 0–3 years of post-graduation experience.
• Capable of data collection and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Safety-focused and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Complete pilot plant data collection, wet lab analysis, data interpretation and data management.
• Prepare test samples for external lab analysis and coordinate with labs, perform quality control and manage data.
• Execute test procedures, interpret data and propose next steps.
• Operate pilot-scale desalination plants and conduct lab-scale bench tests.
• Write completion reports as required.
• Perform pilot plant maintenance.
