Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking multiple teaching assistants for the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences. Responsibilities include lab supervision, grading, and guiding students during laboratory sessions.

Positions are for the CHM2330 Introduction to Structure and Bonding course, with in-person delivery on the Main Campus. Applicants must have completed required chemistry coursework and training, and will be paid hourly rates for a January–April term.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have completed at least one year of general chemistry and one year of organic chemistry.
• WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety training are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in and out of the laboratory.
• Mark laboratory reports and provide feedback.
• Deliver tutorials and prepare teaching materials.
• Proctor final exams.
