What you'll do:

1. Perform QC testing of food, pharma, and industrial products which are repackaged by Univar.
2. Review and approve batch records.
3. Prepare C of A’s for repackaged products.
4. Maintain lab tidiness and dispose of expired samples.
5. Maintain inventory of lab reagents such as ensuring reagents are within expiry date and ordering lab supplies as required.
6. Periodically test field samples and customer samples.
7. Responsible for lab equipment calibration/verification, PM, and any other lab equipment maintenance.
8. Prepare and participate in audits.
9. Act as a technical liaison between suppliers and customers.
10. Develop procedures to improve lab operation efficiency and safety.
11. Prepare blend samples for customers when required.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by Technical Services & Lab department.

What you'll need:

1. University degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is required.
2. Experience with lab equipment such as ICP-OES, GC, IR, Auto-titrator, Density Meter, Kinematic Viscometer, Karl Fischer, GC, Refractometer, wet chemistry, etc.
3. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
4. Knowledge of TDG/WHMIS, ISO, cGMP, EPA, and FDA regulations is preferred.
5. Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adhere to deadlines.
6. Good problem-solving and communication skills are an asset.
7. Work effectively either independently or in a team.
