Job Description

The Opportunity:

WSP has an opportunity for an engineering co-op student to join our Water Treatment Groupfor a 12 month work term (so must be available for 1 year term) based in Vancouver, BC.

A day in the life:

  • Coordinating sampling data entry, and QA/QC checking other’s data entry or technical spreadsheets
  • Communicating with plant operators and laboratories and sample shipping personnel.
  • Coordinating, reviewing lab reports, and preparing client reports
  • Occasional sampling and lab testing, in-field and in-lab
  • Assisting engineers with ongoing miscellaneous water and wastewater treatment design/study tasks

We'd love to hear from you if you have…

  • Currently registered under the Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering Degree program.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment terminology and technology is desirable.
  • Knowledge of water chemistry is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license is desirable.

Compensation

Salary range (in British Columbia): $24.00/hr - $31.75/hr

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
