Qualifications

  • Graduate of Chef Training or have a Diploma in Culinary Management.
  • Valid Food Safety Certification and current Smart Serve Certification.
  • Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Chef role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage menu and recipes.
  • Work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Coach and develop kitchen teams.

Overview

The Village at / of Erin Meadows located in 2930 Erin Centre Blvd., Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Part Time Chef to join their team.

Chef LTC 10-6 shift, TPT 30 hours bi-weekly

Responsibilities
  • Be a graduate of Chef Training or have a Diploma in Culinary Management from an accredited college or equivalent
  • Valid Food Safety Certification
  • Current Smart Serve Certification
  • Have flexibility to work a variety of different shifts including days, evenings, weekends (including holidays)
  • Have a passion for menu and recipe development
  • Knowledge of cost control
  • Experience in coaching and developing teams
  • Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Chef role
Qualifications
  • Acquired a Red Seal designation
  • Possesses an understanding of therapeutic diets
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices applicable to senior living
