ADGA has an immediate opening for an Electronics Technician Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the senior technical lead supporting the maintenance of advanced electronic security systems, including motion detectors, intrusion detection systems, drone detection technologies, CCTV, radio communication, public address, metal detectors, X‑ray machines and more. You will also provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior and intermediate Electronics Technicians.

Dans ce rôle, vous agirez à titre de responsable technique principal pour soutenir la maintenance de systèmes de sécurité électroniques avancés, notamment les détecteurs de mouvement, les systèmes de détection d’intrusion, les technologies de détection de drones, la vidéosurveillance, les communications radio, la sonorisation, les détecteurs de métaux, les appareils à rayons X, etc. Vous fournirez également des conseils, un soutien et un encadrement aux techniciens en électronique juniors et intermédiaires.

Responsibilities (English)

• Act as the point of contact with the Regional Supervisor and the client’s Regional Authority while managing day‑to‑day operations.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance plans as well as special projects, ensuring the team operates safely and efficiently.
• Apply all policies and procedures, understand the legal liabilities associated with the position, and adhere to occupational health and safety laws.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, identify safety training needs, conduct initial safety and hazard assessments, and participate in accident investigations.
• Motivate team members to meet goals, evaluate the quality of their work, mentor apprentice Electronics Technicians, and prepare reports for the Contractor Regional Supervisor and Regional Authority.
• Complete on‑the‑job training (OJT) within twelve months of start date.

• Appliquer toutes les politiques et procédures, comprendre les responsabilités légales associées au poste et respecter les lois sur la santé et la sécurité au travail.
• Respecter les règles de sécurité, identifier les besoins en matière de formation à la sécurité, réaliser des évaluations initiales de la sécurité et des risques, et participer aux enquêtes sur les accidents.
• Motiver les membres de l’équipe à atteindre leurs objectifs, évaluer la qualité de leur travail, encadrer les apprentis techniciens en électronique et préparer des rapports pour le superviseur régional du contractant et l’autorité régionale.
• Être tenu de compléter la formation en cours d’emploi (OJT) dans les douze mois suivant le début.

Qualifications (English)

• Graduated with a diploma in Industrial/Communication Technician, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology or a similar discipline; and/or, 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience maintaining multiple electronic systems such as security (intrusion detection, CCTV, alarm systems, etc.), communication (public address system, intercom system, telephone system, etc.) and operational (access control systems, key management systems, etc.).
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in the past 5 years managing a team of at least two people directly reporting to you.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to solve problems effectively at the client site, using sound judgment in complex technical situations and seeking advice when uncertain.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Enhanced Reliability Clearance (Level 1). ADGA will process clearances for successful candidates.

Qualifications (French)

• Diplôme en technique industrielle/communication, en génie électrique/électronique ou dans une discipline similaire ; et/ou 5 ans ou plus d’expérience pertinente.
• Au moins 3 ans d’expérience pratique dans la maintenance de plusieurs systèmes électroniques tels que sécurité (détection d’intrusion, vidéosurveillance, systèmes d’alarme, etc.), communication (sonorisation, interphone, téléphone, etc.) et exploitation (contrôle d’accès, gestion des clés, etc.).
• Doit avoir au moins 2 ans d’expérience au cours des 5 dernières années dans la gestion d’une équipe d’au moins deux personnes relevant directement de vous.
• Doit être capable de communiquer clairement et de faire preuve de solides compétences interpersonnelles pour résoudre efficacement les problèmes sur le site du client.
• Doit détenir ou être éligible pour obtenir et conserver une habilitation de sécurité renforcée du gouvernement fédéral (niveau 1). ADGA se chargera des habilitations pour les personnes retenues.

Additional Requirements (English)

• Must hold or be willing to obtain CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications. ADGA will sponsor for successful candidates who do not hold these certifications.
• Experience working at heights (fall arrest), first aid, confined space, WHMIS considered strong assets.
