Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and cross-functional leader to support and coach a team of Advanced Industrialization Leads. This team drives sourcing and manufacturing strategies for new sustainable components, engine assembly, and testing, while supporting program MRL readiness.

You and the team will ensure the industrial maturity of future programs by making sure P&WC’s suppliers, partners, manufacturing, and Assembly & Test sites are capable, competitive, digitally enabled, and aligned with program timelines and technical requirements. This strategic role demands a risk-based mindset and the ability to guide innovation across global supply chains in a highly regulated, high-performance environment.

You will work directly with the Engineering, Producers, Supply Management, MED, A&T, Partners, OEMs, Quality, Aftermarket, and other key stakeholders to drive program deliverables on safety, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction and EH&S.

The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Manage project development hardware by driving activities related to strategic sourcing, cost, manufacturing capacity, and producibility.
• Document and monitor product requirements, including cost, weight, producibility, direct maintenance costs, as well as resource planning and the development and monitoring of milestone plans and schedules.
• Track and manage program risks identified through the risk management process.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic business environment.
• Interface with Program Managers regarding any potential variances from baseline schedule and cost; support mitigation planning, where appropriate, and contribute to identifying solutions.
• Ensure suppliers, partners, and sites have Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) maturation plans and delivery schedules supporting program gates and ramp-up, while securing future capacity, capabilities, infrastructure, and resources.
• Identify required Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects and investments for tooling, special processes, test infrastructure, and new technology deployment; collaborate with OPEs and Cost Controllers to finalize business cases.
• Support Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments for new technologies.
• Provide project management and cross-functional program support: work closely with PMT members, project engineering, engineering, aftermarket, supply chain, manufacturing, and assembly & test teams to ensure alignment and facilitate development from the concept phase through program gates or project completion.
• Support the team in all procurement and manufacturing activities for critical engine components, modules, assembly, tooling, and test systems for new programs through project completion (demonstrator programs, Archetypes 1-4) or RLPM Gate C (Archetypes 5-10).
• Lead, with the Advanced Industrialization OPE, Leads, and Industrial Engineers, the planning and execution of RLPM gates and production readiness deliverables, aligned with the production plan.

Develop Sourcing and Manufacturing Strategies:

• Support the team in defining make, buy, or partner strategies for all new components by understanding technical and operational requirements and onboarding new partners, suppliers, and advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., precision casting, superalloy machining, coatings, additive manufacturing).
• Collaborate with Industrialization Engineers to evaluate suppliers, partners, and production and assembly & test sites based on quality, cost, reliability, capacity, capabilities, and future technologies.

Manage and Support the Team in Negotiating Critical Long-Term Agreements Prior to New Production Awards:

• Including product pricing, non-recurring costs, development schedules, repair and overhaul agreements, tooling, and terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with the Partnership team to develop risk-sharing models for industrial development projects.

Ensure Delivery Assurance: initiate procurement or production launches for components, modules, and engine assembly & test activities; drive suppliers, partners, and sites to meet committed delivery dates; manage line-of-balance and work-in-progress (WIP) reports and communicate status accurately to stakeholders.

Optimize, with the Team, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Assembly & Test Readiness:

• Engage suppliers, partners, and sites early in product development to identify opportunities for design optimization, improved efficiency, and cost reduction through value engineering (DfC, DFM, DFA).
• Collaborate with Cost Control Engineering and Advanced Industrialization Leads to establish the program cost baseline, track FSC evolution, and identify alternative design and manufacturing solutions to improve margins and mitigate risks, leveraging the PMT as needed.

What do you need to be successful?

• Bachelor’s in Aerospace, Supply Chain, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in aerospace engine component supply chain management, manufacturing, industrialization, or similar high-spec industries.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes (casting, machining, coatings, additive manufacturing) and materials (Inconel, titanium alloys, ceramics, composites), or experience in regulated industries.
• Proven skills in cross-functional collaboration, communication, risk assessment, problem-solving, and project management (technical planning, cost control, risk mitigation).
• Familiarity with TRL/MRL frameworks, industrial maturity models, and risk assessments.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), sourcing tools, and suppliers/partner performance tracking systems.
• Experience with aerospace engine programs (civil or military).
• Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent situations.
• Ability to lead teams within multi-site and international supplier and partner networks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic business environment.
• Six Sigma, Lean, or PMP certifications are an asset.
• Practical knowledge of relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Project, and PowerPoint) as well as MS Project.

This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment; however, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with international clients, suppliers, or colleagues.
