About the Role / À propos du poste

Manager Supply Chain and S&OP (Bauxite & Alumina) – 12 month contract. Secondment opportunity in the B&A Atlantic team. Leadership role for Supply Chain and S&OP.

Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs. We are recruiting for a Manager Supply Chain and S&OP (B&A) for a secondment on our Commercial Bauxite & Alumina team. The primary responsibility is to lead the Atlantic Supply Chain & S&OP and be accountable for the bauxite and alumina supply chain for the B&A Atlantic business, requiring astute coordination of complex stakeholder groups from across the business to deliver optimal value to the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a supply chain professional who is keen to be part of a high performing commercial team. Reporting to the Director Commercial and Supply Chain B&A.

Responsibilities include :

• Liaison between the B&A Commercial team and the Atlantic bauxite mines, alumina refineries, Joint Venture team and B&A customers.
• Assist the Commercial Director in facilitating commercial discussions with external customers and participate as an active member of commercial committees.
• Manage supply chain scheduling activities for bauxite and alumina requirements for Atlantic refineries and smelters.
• Prepare and consolidate key data for a demand-led S&OP process, including customer demand, shipping logistics plans and mine supply plans.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to the Atlantic Supply Chain Commercial B&A specialist, fostering collaboration and performance.

To be considered for this role, the following are required :

• Proven commercial experience in supply & demand planning, customer services and / or S&OP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to build collaborative relationships across levels.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Ability to work well in a matrix environment and strong stakeholder management.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise workload.
• Customer-oriented, demand-driven, and aware of underlying production constraints.
• Understanding of financial performance and underlying value drivers.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company and duties require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams and partners outside Quebec.

It will be beneficial if you have :

• Knowledge of bauxite, alumina or aluminum processes.
• Knowledge of Power BI or other data analytics tools.
• Experience with integrated planning systems (SAP, Anaplan or others).
