Located in North Toronto, the club has more than 4,000 members and a strong presence in the local social and sporting community.

We are seeking a seasonal, part-time Chef de Partie to support our Food & Beverage team. You will be part of the leadership in the kitchen operation, assisting the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in overall kitchen management, primarily in the restaurant kitchen, with occasional support in the banquet kitchen.

Job Responsibilities
Culinary
  • Manage culinary operations, mainly within banquet functions, to ensure quality, consistency, and safety standards.
  • Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using proven recipes.
  • Memorize and utilize serving portion sizes and basic meal prep procedures.
  • Ensure all kitchen, food prep, and storage areas meet cleanliness standards.
  • Assist in portion prep work for other shifts as needed.
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate stock based on a schedule.
Leadership
  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with team members.
  • Serve as a role model, building trust, respect, and cooperation among staff.
  • Promote teamwork between front of house and back of house staff professionally.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the culinary team across various service levels.
Administration
  • Coordinate with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to maintain balanced food costs.
  • Optimize utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and labor through effective planning, scheduling, ordering, and inventory management.
Health & Safety
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment in all kitchen and food outlets at all times.
Job Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Cook 1 or similar role in a high-volume environment.
  • Mandatory certifications in Canadian Red Seal and Sanitation.
  • Culinary degree or diploma is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, unionized environment.
  • Strong leadership, professionalism, and commitment to member service.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills.
