Your passion for managing food preparation as Chef de Partie will inspire your team to create truly spectacular fare.Starting Rate of Pay: $24.58 per hourYour Job Duties Include:Supervise preparation and service all food items for a la carte and buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standardsOversee first cook, second cook and general cook in the kitchen areaLead a team to produce the highest quality of food preparation and presentationMaintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilageMaintain a working environment where creativity, continuous improvement, and constructive criticism are the standardSeek opportunities to increase food revenue and decrease kitchen expense and maximize departmental productivity without compromising our guests satisfactionOther duties as assignedQualificationsYour experience and skills include:Minimum 4 years well rounded experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel or reputable restaurant requiredValid Journeypersons’ papers or equivalent requiredDiploma or equivalent Certification to a culinary program requiredSuccessful completion of Alberta’s Food Handler CertificationPrevious supervisory experience requiredSuccessful completion of Alberta’s Food Handler CertificationValid Alberta driver’s license requiredExcellent Knife skills and safe handling requiredAdditional InformationVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
