Job description

Ontario Gaming East Limited Partnership, a controlled affiliate of Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, is currently seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our growing business in eastern Ontario as a CHEF DE PARTIE. Join our fast-paced culinary team at Shorelines Casino Belleville ! This position is responsible for a smooth culinary operation, resulting in high guest satisfaction. An amazing new experience awaits dynamic individuals with a drive to succeed and exceed guest expectations!

Duties and Responsibilities Include :

  • Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service
  • Prepares, pre-cooks, cooks and presents menu items in a timely fashion; following standardized recipes
  • Prepares mis en place (“setting in place” of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, etc) and other products as required for high volume production
  • Provides suggestions for the development of new food items, standardized preparations and par stock levels
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders; guests, ownership and employees
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Responsible for maintaining the kitchen and all storage in safe and sanitary condition
  • Follows FIFO and encourages employees to follow the same at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications :

  • Enrollment or completion of Culinary education, Culinary Apprentice Program or equivalent considered an asset
  • People-focused and committed to service excellence
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
  • Minimum 2 years culinary experience preferred
  • High School Diploma
