Key Responsibilities

u2022 Prepare food according to recipe/portion expectations.

u2022 Supervise a small team of staff.

u2022 Responsible for presentation and garnishing.

u2022 Lead others by example and deliver extraordinary service and food.

u2022 Prepares and properly garnishes food orders as they are received in accordance with recipes and proper plate presentation

u2022 Supervises and supports team members in own section to achieve optimum quality

u2022 Follows proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times

u2022 Ensures close down of section in accordance with departmental procedures and standards

What You Bring

u2022 Two or more years in a cook position or extensive culinary experience.

u2022 Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent education.

u2022 Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset.

u2022 Solid understanding of meat, starch, sauces, soups, and food safety preparation.

u2022 Foodsafe Certificate is an asset.

u2022 Well-rounded in all areas of the kitchen with knowledge of pastry, sauces, and line cooking.

u2022 Rock-solid leadership and training skills.
