Job Description

As part of the BMO Field and Coca-Cola Coliseum Culinary team, you will be responsible for the creation and service of outstanding food as well as providing first-rate customer service.

  • Train, empower, and mentor the Quick Service culinary team on a daily basis.
  • Schedule staff according to current CBA guidelines.
  • Coordinate all food ordering and requisitions for concession requirements with the purchasing department.
  • Create exciting menus for the Coca-Cola Coliseum suites program for all types of events, including all AHL, PWHL, WNBA, and Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
  • Work with nutritionists to create menus for professional athletes.
  • Build exciting new menu ideas for MLSE concessions that excite the fans.
  • Work with Managers to ensure accurate transfers and end-of-night reports accurately reflect our revenue and sales.
  • Work with the MLSE Culinary team to create a first-class FIFA World Cup experience.
  • Handle food cost and operating expenses effectively.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and food quality satisfaction.
  • Actively participate in all relevant MLSE departmental meetings.
  • Assist with other related functions as assigned by the Culinary Director, Executive Chef, and QS Managers.
Qualifications

  • 4 + years in a supervisory or management position.
  • 2-3 years of experience within a stadium, high volume restaurant, or catering.
  • Experience in food costing and menu development.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple catering events at the same time and working with BEOs (Banquet Event Order).
  • Must be proficient in Food Safety and be able to train cooks and hold them accountable in all aspects.
  • Knowledge of beverage service and alcohol policy.
  • Experience in large quantity cooking and high-volume line expediting.
  • Ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, where building a rapport comes naturally.
  • Creative and detail-oriented with an ability to relate the importance of detail to staff.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Restaurant POS.
  • Understanding of Industry business principles.
  • Available to work evenings/weekends, as the need arises.
