Work with our team of Chefs creating world class dining experiences for our guests. This is your opportunity to work in a Kitchen committed to preparing and serving the finest meals.

Competitive Salary: $83,000-$86,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure consistency in food preparation, create innovative menus, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Lead daily briefings, mentor colleagues, and manage scheduling to optimize kitchen productivity.
  • Engage with guests, collaborate with venue managers for feedback, and enhance dining experiences.
  • Manage food inventory, control costs, and oversee procurement while maintaining cleanliness and safety.
  • Uphold health, sanitation, and safety policies, ensuring adherence to ALLSAFE protocols.
Qualifications

Required experience:

  • Red Seal Journeyperson Cook Certification or international equivalency

Or

  • Completion of Rouxbe Culinary Foundations level 1 & 2, receiving certification in both with a grade greater than 90% and 54 months (7,020 hours) experience in relevant workplaces

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of culinary supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in a luxury or large kitchen environment.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Physically able to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 lbs; constant standing and walking throughout shifts.
  • Comfortable working with kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, mixers, fryers, steamers, and freezers.
Additional Information

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
