Job summary

Groupe Solotech Inc in Montreal is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to oversee weekend operations and coordinate shipping activities. You will act as on-site contact, assign priorities, and ensure timely preparation, loading, and dispatch of equipment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a leadership role in a warehouse or factory, is detail‑oriented, and can work Thursdays to Sundays. English basic proficiency is an asset; forklift certification is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekend warehouse operations and serve as the on-site point of contact.
• Coordinate and allocate work priorities based on volume, deadlines, and transportation needs.
• Execute preparation, verification, loading, and shipping activities to meet deadlines and standards.
• Provide general oversight of building operations and escalate issues as needed.
• Manage contingencies and make decisions to ensure business continuity.
• Ensure accuracy of shipped equipment and quantities using the inventory system.
• Support task planning and assignment based on workload and schedules.
• Coordinate loading docks and ensure smooth departures.
• Participate in loading and unloading of trucks.
• Maintain communication with other departments in the workshop.
• Participate in onboarding and training of new employees.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

In collaboration with the Operations Supervisor, you will contribute to the daily planning of shipments and order preparation using the inventory management system. You will play a key role in coordinating operations to ensure efficient departures and adherence to priorities.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering a 40-hour workweek, with mandatory weekend availability. The schedule may be arranged over four days.

Your day will look like this:

• Ensure that warehouse operations run smoothly on weekends and serve as the on-site point of contact.

Your profile:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a team lead or leadership role
• Previous experience working in a warehouse, factory, or workshop
• Availability from Thursday to Sunday
• Knowledge of audiovisual equipment is an asset
• Demonstrated ability to provide motivating and effective leadership
• Valid forklift operator certification is an asset
• Flexibility with work schedule
• Basic English proficiency, both spoken and written, is an asset
• Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
