Chef d’Equipe Conditionnement

Location: Baie D’Urfé, Canada

Shift: Night; 40h/week

We are seeking a reliable Packaging Team Leader to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of Operators, Assistant Operators, and Packaging Contractors. You may also be called upon to ensure the onboarding, integration, management, and training of personnel, as well as contribute to their performance evaluation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure the onboarding, integration, management, and training of personnel;
  • Contribute to individual performance evaluation (productivity) by providing feedback to the Packaging Production Supervisor during year-end reviews;
  • Contribute to the adherence to procedures and policies;
  • Assist the Packaging Production Supervisor in managing unplanned absences by proposing personnel movements and rotations;
  • Potentially oversee operational activities during overtime shifts in Packaging;
  • Contribute to monitoring production performance related to finished product packaging, respecting procedures, deadlines, health and safety rules, standards, and Canadian and American GMPs;
  • Participate in tracking production activities by evaluating resource availability and proposing assignments to the Packaging Production Supervisor based on production needs;
  • Participate in performance governance by conducting DMS rounds, necessary follow-up audits, facilitating problem-solving processes, applying operational excellence best practices, defining measurement and resource needs, and measuring deviations;
  • Analyze and identify root causes of deviations and propose actions to address these causes at their source;
  • Support employee development by enhancing their skills and versatility;
  • Contribute to increasing their autonomy and accountability;
  • Occasionally replace the Packaging Production Supervisor in operational management during shifts;
  • Manage unforeseen events by reorganizing work, task allocation, and operations management.
Basic Requirements
  • Technical diploma in industrial mechanics or equivalent experience;
  • 5 years of experience as an operator;
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, food, or chemical environments;
  • Computer skills.
