A leading company in food services seeks a Chef to oversee kitchen operations in a world-class facility. The ideal candidate will ensure food quality and safety, train staff, and coordinate with a team of chefs. This position offers a 14 on/7 off shift, competitive salary, and extended health benefits.
Based in a world-class Horizon North camp facility, the regular shift for this position is 14 days on and 7 days off, with 12-hour workdays. Transportation is provided to site from a pickup point in Edmonton.
The Chef is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, including ordering food ingredients and menu planning. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the preparation, serving, and control of cooked and uncooked food, training staff, and ensuring adherence to Horizon North Food Safety protocols. The Chef is a hands-on leader, focused on developing team skills and providing excellent service to guests and clients.
This site has 3 Chefs rotating between 2 lodge kitchens, so the ideal candidate should communicate and collaborate effectively with other Chefs.
This position is safety-sensitive and requires drug and alcohol testing and a fitness assessment as a condition of employment.
