Chargée / Chargé de projet senior, Géotechnique

Your Opportunity

Based in Montreal, Quebec, Chicoutimi, or Abitibi, you will manage large-scale geotechnical projects, design structures, review reports, and ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of all project outputs. You will make technical decisions and provide recommendations during:

  • Construction of bridges and tunnels in soil and rock to connect communities;
  • Building schools, hospitals, and public spaces for citizens;
  • Designing resilient structures in a changing world.
Your Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute large-scale geotechnical studies;
  • Identify inherent risks in activities;
  • Handle complex technical situations;
  • Establish applicable standards and procedures;
  • Develop new methods, practices, and tools;
  • Participate in staff training and development;
  • Contribute to service proposals;
  • Draft reports;
  • Manage administrative and financial aspects of mandates and maintain client contacts;
  • Support the development of the geotechnical discipline at Stantec Quebec.
Your Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering;
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including infrastructure projects;
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
  • Excellent communication and project management skills;
  • Proficiency in French for technical reports;
  • Knowledge of English is required for collaboration with teams and clients outside Quebec.
Keys to Success
  • Master’s in Civil or Geological Engineering;
  • Experience in mining;
  • Technical publications authorship.
