An established industry player is seeking a Charge RN to lead nursing care within surgical services. This role involves overseeing patient care, ensuring effective communication, and managing staff assignments to meet patient needs. The Charge RN is responsible for coordinating the nursing care on their shift. The Charge Nurse will be responsible for overseeing all the surgical services units.
The Charge RN will oversee theunit focusing on safe, effective care for patients and staff through increased communication and customer service. The Charge RN will monitor and coordinate the daily patient activities of the unit, make rounds, assign staff and patients to ensure full coverage of patient care needs are met at all times for the assigned shift. Act as a resource in regards to admissions, discharges, transfers, assessments, reassessments, treatments and/or procedures. Maintain communication with allied services, physicians, staff and family.
Minimum 2 years experience in critical care. Two to five years experience in nursing management. Current CA Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Dysrhythmia certifications are required.
