Who are we looking for?

GHD seeks an Intermediate Civil / Urban Infrastructure Project Coordinator to join our growing North American practice. This position can be based in our Montreal offices ( Montreal or Brossard ), with the possibility of remote hybrid work.

If you are a motivated professional with excellent technical skills, project management abilities, and eager to collaborate with a team of leading civil engineering professionals in industrial, commercial, institutional, and municipal development, this is an excellent opportunity!

Within a dynamic and high-performing team, your responsibilities will include :

  • Collaborate closely with your team to meet performance criteria for civil engineering projects related to outdoor development and underground or surface technical networks, including water distribution, collection, stormwater management, serving clients in industrial, commercial, institutional, and municipal sectors;
  • Design plans, specifications, and estimates for urban infrastructure projects such as sewer, water supply, road, and street networks, ensuring integration with other disciplines;
  • Perform design calculations, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and codes;
  • Write detailed technical reports;
  • Manage multiple tasks within a multidisciplinary team;
  • Support and adhere to GHD's health, safety, and environmental management system (SSE);
  • Manage and oversee the execution of technical projects, ensuring client satisfaction, safety, scope, schedule, and budget adherence.

Technical skills required :

  • Experience managing and executing civil engineering projects (urban infrastructure);
  • Strong understanding of current design standards;
  • Knowledge of urban hydraulics for developing optimal conceptual and operational solutions;
  • Experience in multidisciplinary project contexts, including detailed design and technical support during construction;
  • Ability to develop technical recommendations;
  • Familiarity with current best practices, inspection technologies, surveys, and computer-aided project methods (Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field (construction engineering or similar);
  • At least 5 years of experience in urban infrastructure design;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritize and intervene as needed;
  • Possession of the ASP Construction card.
