Shannex Incorporated is hiring a Charge Nurse for West Bedford Transitional Health in Bedford, NS. The role focuses on coordinating patient flow, supporting frontline staff, and ensuring safe, high‑quality care on a Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) is required.
• Current registration and active licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing as an RN.
• Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in fast‑paced healthcare environments.
• Strong communication, decision‑making, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
• Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check on hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and admissions/discharges.
• Support frontline staff and oversee staffing coordination.
• Lead day‑to‑day clinical operations and provide mentorship.

West Bedford Transitional Health is Nova Scotia’s first transitional care center, delivered in partnership with Nova Scotia Health. Our team provides specialized, person-centered care that helps patients safely transition from hospital to home and community living.?
As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, supporting frontline staff, and ensuring safe, high-quality care delivery. Working closely with the interdisciplinary team, you will oversee admissions, discharges, staffing coordination, and day-to-day clinical operations while providing leadership, mentorship, and real-time problem-solving support to the nursing team.?
This full-time opportunity offers a rare weekday nursing leadership schedule of Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. combining meaningful leadership impact with enhanced work-life balance.?
