Your Opportunity

BDO Canada is looking for a Change Practitioner to join our Change Management Office (CMO) team. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the successful implementation of changes, including assessing, planning, and managing changes to processes, systems, and technology to ensure timely and within-budget delivery with minimal disruption. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure changes align with business objectives and are communicated effectively. You will create and implement change management strategies that maximize adoption and utilization, driving faster adoption and higher engagement while minimizing resistance. Key responsibilities include :

  • Follow change management discipline to manage all people impacts of initiatives where you are the change leader.
  • Document and produce organizational change work including change readiness, communication, talent management, training, and reinforcement plans.
  • Create communication templates and adapt content for different audiences.
  • Assess impacts of proposed changes on business operations, systems, and technology, and identify risks and benefits.
  • Develop and execute change management plans, including communication, resistance management, stakeholder engagement, and training.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change strategies and adjust as needed.
  • Identify risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Collaborate with other change managers to develop a consistent change management framework aligned with organizational strategies.
  • Evaluate and improve change management processes for future initiatives.

Change Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Establish engagement agreements with sponsors and stakeholders to facilitate shared understanding and commitment.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment and ongoing communication throughout the change process.
  • Coordinate with project managers to deliver changes on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption.
  • Develop and deliver training to prepare stakeholders for changes.

  • Required Experience and Education

  • University degree in business management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Prosci Certification is required.
  • 3-5 years of Change Management experience with comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices.
  • Experience managing change streams from vision to post-implementation.
  • 3-5+ years in transformation / project management roles.
  • Experience with large, complex project rollouts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders and managing expectations.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation development and delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Analytical skills with strategic judgment.
  • Organizational skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work inclusively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to influence and lead change in a matrix environment.
