Position Summary

JBH will be implementing Epic’s hospital information system in partnership with St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and we are looking for a passionate, skilled individual to help drive the project forward to successful completion. Reporting to Project Director, HIS Implementation the Change Manager will be responsible for executing a change management plan in alignment with the HIS Implementation project. The incumbent will work closely with the project team, JBH leadership, and the clinical teams to promote awareness, seek engagement, and prepare staff for monumental change.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Execute a change management plan based on ADKAR, an established best practice framework which will be integrated into the HIS implementation project to support the organization at all stages of the project.
  • Manages stakeholders and clients through internal consultation processes to define change management requirements and implement throughout the course of the project.
  • Assess organizational and individual readiness for a large change before the change happens.
  • Customize change management initiatives based on readiness assessment and individual needs.
  • Monitor and measure change management strategies for effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide support to all levels of leadership and the project team to facilitate adoption of change and minimize resistance.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and education to others in the organization regarding change management methodologies and best practice.
  • Identify early adopters who can assist in change management initiatives and champion the project.
  • Develop and present recommendations and status updates to project sponsors and senior leadership.
  • Participate in project Governance meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant healthcare or related discipline required
  • Change Management Certification required
  • 5+ years experience in progressive change management in healthcare or hospital settings
  • Experience with hospital information system implementation required; experience with Epic implementation is strongly preferred
  • Experience developing change management plans based on framework / methodology and associated materials
  • Understanding of project lifecycles within the project management discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience teaching and applying change management methodologies
  • Proficient in MS Suite
