Job description

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Customary Care Supervisor - Sandy Bay main office, the incumbent is responsible for providing various clerical support, including maintaining and updating filing, and accurate record systems at Sandy Bay Child & Family Services Inc. The CFSIS/File Clerk will assist with other clerical duties as assigned.

Some Duties include:

  • Data entry on the Child and Family Services Information System/Intake Module (CFSIS/IM)
  • Will perform general office duties.
  • Will provide clerical support to administration and other agency staff.
  • Maintains and update filing system, label, copy, and retrieve documents.
  • Maintains a log of all incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Complies and maintains the procedures manual for the CFSIS/File Clerk position.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12, GED, or suitable equivalent, along with a certificate in a one-year Administrative Course, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of the Child and Family Information System/Intake Module (CFSIS/IM) would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Excellent work record/history.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must have a valid Manitoba Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle. Travel may be required.
  • Must pass a Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Knowledge and respect of First Nations traditional culture and traditional philosophy.
  • Ability to speak and/or understand the Ojibway language would be an asset.
