We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Information Technology and Integration to lead our IT function and drive the successful integration of acquired companies. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will be responsible for overseeing all IT operations in a publicly regulated (SOX-compliant) environment and will play a key leadership role in planning and executing post-acquisition integration projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of enterprise IT systems, information security, compliance, and M&A integration project management. Key Responsibilities: IT Leadership & Operations Provide strategic direction and oversight for the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and support services. Ensure IT systems and processes align with business objectives and comply with SOX and other regulatory requirements. Lead the project management of a new ERP implementation for Canada and subsequent implementations for acquired companies. Provide a "customer centric" service with KPIs to measure effectiveness and efficiency. Partner with the head office IT department to oversee cybersecurity and risk management efforts to protect the company's digital assets. Develop and manage the IT budget in alignment with financial goals. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing IT team. Integration & Project Management Serve as the lead project manager for post-acquisition integration efforts, including systems consolidation, data migration, process harmonization, user adoption, and people change. Develop and execute detailed integration plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, HR, Legal, etc.). Monitor integration project timelines, budgets, and milestones to ensure successful and timely outcomes. Identify and mitigate risks associated with integration and change management. Governance & Compliance Establish by year end and adherence to SOX IT General Controls (ITGCs) and participate in internal and external audits. Ensure that the Canadian Division passes the 2025 year end IT SOX audit. Maintain appropriate documentation and evidence for compliance purposes. Collaborate closely with Finance and Internal Audit on continuous improvement of controls and reporting. Develop and lead an IT Steering Committee to understand and prioritize organizational technology needs. Facility Management Plan with operations then project manage facility improvements. Develop and adhere to a facility management capital budget. Manage all new, renewal and cancelation of facility leases. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is an asset). 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Proven experience in a SOX-compliant public company environment. Demonstrated success managing IT aspects of post-merger integrations. Strong project management skills, with PMP or similar certification, are considered an asset. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Experience working with ERP systems (ideally CSD or CSDE), cloud solutions, and cybersecurity frameworks. Location & Travel: This role is based in Calgary, Alberta.
