What you will do:

  • Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including equipment/system malfunction descriptions
  • Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers’ Fire & Life Safety systems, including SimplexGrinnell
  • Diagnose problems and perform repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building products at customer sites
  • Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and manuals
  • Contact customer representatives to identify equipment/system issues
  • Provide excellent customer service through consistent communication to ensure satisfaction
  • Complete service acknowledgments with proper coding via smartphones and laptops
  • Obtain customer signatures upon service completion
  • Participate in scheduled on-call rotations
  • Assist in training or mentoring team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we look for:

Required:

  • 3+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire & Life Safety systems
  • Valid CFAA Certificate
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals
  • Knowledge of test equipment, multimeters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
