Your Role

As an ACS technician and instructor for POM to Level A development, you will support the L3 Harris (MAS) Periodic Inspection Crews with refinishing and structural repairs, assist with preservation and maintenance of aircraft under L3Harris control, and support 4 Wing First line units with structural repairs as coordinated with the CO 1 AMS and the L3Harris Site Lead.

Your Responsibilities
  • Perform shop-related tasks as an ACS technician, providing technical expertise and guidance to DND personnel under training and junior technicians. As a Subject Matter Expert, ensure consistency and support for shop personnel to meet production and inspection requirements.
  • Assist with periodic, conditional, supplementary, modification, or special inspections in accordance with the Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTO) and work instructions.
  • Attend training and information sessions as required.
  • Keep Lead Hand/Supervisor informed of technical issues, scheduling, additional requirements, and technician welfare.
  • Follow Tool Control rules and regulations.
  • Consult reference documentation such as CFTOs, work processes, and related documents.
  • Complete aircraft inspection sheets, forms, registers, and other documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Utilize safe working practices at all times.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Lead Hand/Supervisor.
  • Adhere to the health and safety, flight safety, documentation, work instructions, and process specifications of the establishment.
