The Government of Nova Scotia seeks a Library Technician for the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education to manage library resources and support students and teachers. The successful candidate will possess a Library Technician diploma and demonstrate proficiency in library trends, resource management, and collaboration with educational staff. This part-time position offers hourly wages based on qualifications, fostering a positive learning environment through effective library management.

Starting Wages -
Library Technician - Fully Qualified - $25.10 per hour
Library Support Worker - Partially Qualified - $16.88 per hour
Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance withthe Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU) Local 73 Bargaining Unit.
Library Technicians perform a variety of tasks in support of the school library. The Library Technician is responsible for the acquisition, circulation, and maintenance of resources; facilitation of access to resources; provision of reference services; and promotion of the library.
