The Certified Technician, Structural Repair, is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the aircraft’s structure.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, evaluate, repair, modify, and weld metal parts and/or composites of the aircraft to meet airworthiness standards in accordance with applicable company maintenance control manuals and Transport Canada regulations.
  • Order necessary parts and follow up with Technical Purchasing.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians to ensure all aircraft systems are operational.
  • Complete all required paperwork for parts and structural maintenance in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), Aircraft Services Maintenance Control Manual (MCM), and Maintenance Policy (MPM).
  • Certify work completion through certification or signing a maintenance release, ensuring work performed on the aircraft structure complies with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent (structure assembly).
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Technician in Structural Repair.
  • Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) “S” license (must be maintained valid throughout employment).
  • Certified welder is an asset.
  • Ability to perform detailed manual work (dexterity).
  • Ability to read plans/blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills (English essential, good working knowledge of French).
  • Initiative, team spirit, resourcefulness, and autonomy are required qualities.
