Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager of Assistive Technology, the Certified Orthotist provides clinical interventions to pediatric and adult populations as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include clinical decision-making, leadership in complex cases, mentorship, and participation in clinics, rounds, conferences, and meetings. The role may require providing services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio within a seven-day schedule.

Candidate Requirements
  • Certified Orthotist from Orthotics Prosthetics Canada
  • 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze assessment data and focus on patient-centered care
  • Understanding of Privacy legislation and health information protection
  • Knowledge of additional languages, especially French, is an asset

Work Hours and Compensation
  • Full-time, permanent; 75 hours bi-weekly

Hourly rate: $46.00 - $51.65
