Qualifications

• Must be certified medical assistant from AAMA, AMT, NCCT or NHA.
• Approved medical assisting program recognized by CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document in EHR; prep records for exams.
• Assist LIP with examinations and routine procedures.
• Perform waived testing and collect specimens; follow CLIA/JCI rules.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed; monitor patient safety.
• Educate patients and maintain professional, courteous care.
