Job summary

Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys in Montreal is seeking a maintenance technician for school facilities. The role involves performing filter and belt changes, replacing defective parts in heating, refrigeration, and ventilation systems, and conducting maintenance, lubrication, and repairs as needed.

Applicants should hold a vocational diploma in fixed machinery mechanics or an equivalent qualification, with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma of vocational studies in fixed machinery mechanics or equivalent recognized by the authorities.
• Eight (8) years of relevant experience required.
• Alternative: valid qualification certificates plus four (4) years of relevant experience; add one (1) year per missing apprenticeship period.

Job description

Schedule: 38.75 h / week

Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 11:30 AM to 2:15 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform filter and belt changes;
• Replace defective parts in heating, refrigeration, and ventilation systems;
• Perform maintenance, lubrication, and necessary repairs;
• Any other related tasks.

Requirements

• Hold a diploma of vocational studies in fixed machinery mechanics or hold a diploma or certificate recognized by the competent authority, and have eight (8) years of relevant experience.

Or

Hold the necessary valid qualification certificates and have an additional four (4) years of relevant experience. In cases where this qualification requires less than four (4) apprenticeship periods, have an additional one (1) year of relevant experience to compensate for each missing period.

• Valid driver's license.
