The Health Care Aide is a member of the home care team, working under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to perform various personal care services tailored to meet the client’s needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assistance with personal care and hygiene

  • Shopping and errands
  • Medication assistance/reminders
  • Ambulation and transporting clients
  • Providing companionship
  • Following care plans
  • Documentation and charting
Qualifications
  • Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (e.g., foreign-trained nurse, nursing student) and Alberta HCA Directory #
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Ability to travel within the territory
  • Access to internet and mobile phone
