Job summary

Trans Canada Safety is expanding its fire protection division and seeks skilled technicians to inspect, test and repair fire alarm systems, extinguishers, and emergency lighting. The role includes programming, verifications, and ensuring client satisfaction through reliable operation.

Applicants should have CFAA registration or certification and 1–5 years of relevant experience, with a valid driver’s license. A customer‑oriented, independent work ethic is valued and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• CFAA registered or certified required.
• 1-5 years’ experience preferred.
• Experience with fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting is an asset.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently or with others.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from supervisors, coordinators and/or support staff.
• Perform inspections and repairs to fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting units and other life safety systems.
• Perform programming and verifications of new and modified fire alarm systems.
• Ensure the highest standard of system reliability and client satisfaction.
• Complete work orders and all reports in a timely manner.
• Rotate for on‑call emergency service.
• Adhere to CAN/ULC, NFPA and Ontario Fire Code standards and regulations.

Trans Canada Safety is rapidly expanding our full service fire protection division and is presently looking to add to our team! Trans Canada Safety is a well respected, organized company with a primary focus on customer service and life safety

Responsibilities:

• Take direction from supervisors, coordinators and/or support staff
• Required to perform inspections and repairs to fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting units and other life safety systems
• Perform programming and verifications of new and modified fire alarm systems
• Ensure the highest standard of system reliability and that client satisfaction is met
• Complete work order and all reports in a timely manner
• Rotate for on‑call emergency service
• Understand and follow best practices for the standards that apply to the scopes of work being completed such as CAN/ULC, NFPA and Ontario Fire Code standards and regulations

Qualifications:

• CFAA registered or certified
• 1-5 years’ experience is preferred
• Prior experience with fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting is an asset
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, customer oriented and be able to work well independently as well as with others.
