As anAssociate Financial Planner, you will work in a direct supporting role to the founding partners with a focus on developing and deepening client relationships by assisting in providing high quality advice and service to build and protect the wealth of our clients. Working alongside the founding partners, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and implementation of financial planning, investment management advice, and product solutions while adhering to Ethical Sales Principles, compliance and regulatory requirements.

Most importantly, you realize that our clients are our greatest asset, and your priority is to help them pursue the maximum level of success in their wealth building journey, while helping them be protected from the unexpected and uncontrollable aspects of life.

Is this role right for you? In this career, you will focus on:
- Client-Centric Advice: Providing needs-based in depth personalized financial planning and product solutions as part of an independent collaborative team of professionals, aligning with Ethical Sales Principles. Conducting phone calls and meetings with existing clients and referred prospective clients. Conducting complimentary needs analysis and financial reviews across a range of financial statements, including competitor statements. Supporting the Founding Partners in serving an established and loyal clientele.
- Business Development: You willnot need to build your own business or clientele, as you will be stepping into a supporting role in an already mature and established practice. In turn you willnot be expected to leverage your personal relationshipsin order to drive business and you will not be required to meet sales targets Success is defined by servicing clients and the needs of the partners. You will be directly assisting the Founding Partners in preparation of client centric planning, reporting, and presentations, and will play a supporting role in client meetings and delivery of service. Helping us protect and grow investment assets managed by the firm will benefit everyone and drive revenue.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to explore working with you if you:
- Have a minimum of 5 years experience providing financial planning and advice and a willingness to learn.
- Are an investment licensed professional (MFDA or IIROC) or have the requisite knowledge to obtain current accreditation and good standing for MFDA or IIROC licensing requirements.
- Are a CFA Charter holder with the CFA Institute, or if you are a level 1, 2, or 3, CFA Candidate, this would be an asset and result in special consideration and expanded opportunity at onboarding.
- Have a Life Insurance and/or A&S Licenses would also be an asset.
- Are confident, credible, goal oriented, and take initiative. You can work independently as a self-motivated professional with minimal supervision and be effective as a part of the larger team.
- Have extensive knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends, economic conditions, and the regulatory environment.
- Hold a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle which is essential.
- Are proficient with the MS Office Suite with a strong skill set using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Have Management experience which would be an asset, as is proficiency with Advicent Naviplan.
- Take satisfaction in helping others and solving problems.
