Tolko Industries is seeking a skilled Electrician to support our Slave Lake, Alberta operations. The role emphasizes PLC/HMI troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and upgrades across motors and hydraulic systems. A Red Seal ticket and strong diagnostic ability are essential, along with CMMS experience and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an Electrician with a valid Interprovincial Red Seal ticket.
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.
• Experience with CMMS - preferably JD Edwards.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Previous experience in a forest products environment is considered an asset.

Responsabilités

• Apply your knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems to troubleshoot electrical issues and come up with safe, reliable fixes.
• Use your broad electrical experience to do preventative maintenance as well as installations and upgrades, working on motors, hydraulic motion controls, optimizers and encoders.
• Come up with innovative solutions to improve equipment reliability.
• Apply your organizational and planning skills to carry out maintenance projects and programs.
