The purpose of this position is to certify new products and integrations according to Card Associations rules and compliance.
What Part Will You Play?
- Provide technical support to the product group and merchants on new products and integrations.
- Attend walkthroughs of solutions and provide technical feedback and guidance to the product group.
- Prepare customized POS test scripts for each solution.
- Generate test scripts and verify results from test execution.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for new certifications.
- Provide training and create documentation for all business units for certified solutions.
- Perform pilot monitoring and analysis prior to rollout of certified solutions.
- Provide status reports to the manager as required.
- Provide technical advice, support, and guidance to developers and the Product Team.
- Develop and manage relationships with POS developers, third-party processors, Project Managers, Sales, and other business areas.
- Coordinate testing with technicians from partner companies to ensure quality assurance before deployment and during system use.
- Test and analyze POS systems with test plans, kits, and cards, ensuring compliance with payment requirements from various card companies.
- Duplicate scenarios during testing, analyze, investigate, and report defects to developers.
- Analyze potential future issues and recommend solutions.
- Other projects or tasks as needed.
- This is a remote position but must be based in the GTA for easy access to Toronto locations.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
- College degree in Business, Administration, IT, or related field.
- 6 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and departmental guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving, investigation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and writing skills for clear specifications and reporting.
- Knowledge of Tandem and Base-24 systems.
- Understanding of credit card operation rules and regulations (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying complexity under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to take ownership and improve performance continuously.
