Job description: The Opportunity:

Our client is looking to add a Centre Manager (Not-for-Profit) to their growing team in Sudbury, Ontario. The Centre Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations, including budgeting, planning, staffing, volunteer management, facility maintenance, administrative duties, and building community partnerships.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Managing expenditures and ensuring alignment with approved budgets
  • Overseeing staff in promoting a positive and supportive workplace culture, while ensuring adherence to protocols related to facility cleanliness and operational standards
  • Bringing a passion for people by leading onboarding activities including orienting, scheduling, training, motivating, and supervising staff to foster collaboration and achieve organizational goals
  • Handling administrative responsibilities that contribute to the efficient daily operations of the Centre
  • Maintaining detailed records of employee training and providing ongoing support to encourage engagement and job satisfaction
  • Leading the Centre's volunteer program, including recruitment, training, supervision, recognition, and ongoing support
  • Supporting special projects as assigned by the Provincial Manager, Community Programming and Centre Services

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a College Diploma in Business Management or a related field, combined with relevant work experience - 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • 1+ year of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage conflict, foster collaboration, and support team development
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance performance and support professional growth
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and guiding teams through periods of transition or organizational growth
  • Ability to provide clear direction, set expectations, and hold others accountable in a respectful and supportive manner

Complementary Experience:

  • Educational background as a registered veterinary technician or equivalent, with active professional membership would be considered an asset.
  • Clinic or animal care experience would be considered an asset.
