Job summary

Mothercraft is seeking a Manager, Centre for Early Development to lead the opening of Norton Lake CED in Brampton. You will guide a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow, supervising RECEs and ECAs and collaborating with staff and families.

Ideal candidates have an ECE credential (or BA in Education), 5 years in childcare and 3 years in management, plus licensing knowledge, MS Office proficiency, and strong leadership. We offer comprehensive benefits and pension.

Qualifications

• ECE Diploma or BA in Education preferred
• Minimum 5 years in childcare and 3 years in management, including infant/toddler experience
• Registration with the College of ECE
• Knowledge of licensing regulations and quality frameworks
• MS Office proficiency
• First Aid & CPR C Certificate
• Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check
• Immunizations per Child Care and Early Years Act
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• French language skills is an asset

Responsibilities

• Lead RECEs and ECAs in Norton Lake CED daily operations
• Ensure services align with Mothercraft frameworks and policies
• Maintain licensing and quality standards across programs
• Develop child programs based on How Does Learning Happen and ELECT
• Guide family and child programming with staff and Parent Advisory Committee
• Collaborate with HR to recruit, hire, and train staff
• Provide mentoring and annual performance appraisals
• Assist with budget development and manage expenditures
• Coordinate with Corporate Services on facility, IT, and HR matters
