  • Assess customer needs and direct them to the most appropriate AMA representative for help, including verifying member needs and documentation in advance.
  • Stay engaged with members during their wait, ensuring they’re informed, comfortable, and feel cared for by offering refreshments and regular check-ins to enhance their overall experience.
  • Monitor and manage traffic flow throughout the centre, including lineups, waiting areas, and retail zones.
  • Reinforce the value of AMA’s products and services by helping members understand the benefits of their appointments, ensuring that they leave feeling confident, informed, and appreciated.
  • Assist with basic member transactions, such as payments and account changes.
  • Maintain the presentation and professionalism of all public areas, including marketing displays.
  • Perform administrative duties at reception and assist with supply management when required.
  • Communicate with team members and management to flag issues and improve the overall member experience.

What You’ve Done

  • You’re at least 18 years old with a high school diploma.
  • You have experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and have a track record of delivering great service.
  • You’ve built strong interpersonal relationships and know how to de-escalate and resolve challenges with empathy and professionalism.
  • You have experience with standard administrative duties and data entry.
  • A general understanding of insurance products and services is an asset.

What You Bring

  • Excellent listening and communication abilities, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize on the fly.
  • Initiative and independence—you know how to take action without being told.
  • Flexibility and resilience—you adapt quickly to change and keep things running smoothly.
  • A strong sense of discretion and professionalism.
  • You’re comfortable with technology and a quick learner .
  • A willingness to stand and move around for long periods, and the ability to work a variety of shifts including Saturdays.
