Basic Function

As part of the Central Operations Team, this co-op role will support the execution of Central Operations and program support at SHN. The incumbent is action-oriented, tactful, and empathetic, supporting to ensure our patients have a positive experience working with Specialty Health Network through their treatment journey.

As the position deals with highly sensitive information, the incumbent is expected to act in a diplomatic, professional manner, and maintain patient confidentiality, as per SDM Specialty Health Network policy and legal requirements.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Execute Central Program Operations projects and deliverables as assigned
  • Assist in documenting new and existing processes with the direction and support of Central Program Operations leadership
  • Provide administrative support to the Central Program Operations team including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing documentation
  • Assist in developing communication materials
  • Contribute to the creation of presentations and data visualization to communicate insights and plans effectively
  • Collaborate with Central Program Operations team members and other SHN teams as required
  • Results driven - must meet or exceed established performance and quality metrics
  • Assist program teams with projects and deliverables
  • Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event as per current policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a student in a relevant co-op program
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Interest in healthcare operations and process improvement
  • Experience with data analysis is an asset
