Job summary

London Drugs Limited is seeking a Central Fill Regulated Pharmacy Technician for our Richmond, BC distribution service centre. You will support pharmacists and the pharmacy manager, handle prescriptions, and manage inventory in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

The role requires completion of national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs and active registration with the provincial College of Pharmacy.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs and passed the exams.
  • Must be registered with the College of Pharmacy in the province of employment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter with a high level of enthusiasm.
  • Ability to relate to all levels of customers and their needs.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure in a very fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work as a team player and have a team approach.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience preferable.

  • Provide customer service, handle telephone inquiries and maintain housekeeping.
  • Operate the pharmacy computer and assist in processing prescriptions.

Central Fill Regulated Pharmacy Technician - Full Time

Our focus is optimal patient care using semi-private counselling booths, counselling rooms, advanced robotic dispensing technology, monthly clinical programs and a cooperative team of pharmacists, regulated pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants. Regulated Pharmacy Technicians have the opportunity to participate in several professional roles including Travel Medicine, INR monitoring, CDE, and Long term care. You will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Manager with daily operations of the Pharmacy Department. Duties will include customer service, telephone inquiries and general housekeeping duties. Additionally, you will operate the pharmacy computer and assist in the processing of prescriptions and preparation of prescriptions. Other responsibilities will include involvement of ordering and receiving drug orders and management of the pharmacy department inventory. Regulated pharmacy technicians must have completed all required national and provincial Regulated Pharmacy Technician programs and passed the exams. Regulated Pharmacy Technicians must also be registered with the respective College of Pharmacy in the province of employment.

This is a Full Time position. Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday to Sunday, 40 hours per week.
