Cardinale is a premium winery committed to producing exceptional wines that reflect the character of our region and the dedication of our team. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cellar Technician II to join our winemaking team. This role involves hands-on participation in all phases of wine production with a strong emphasis on quality, cleanliness, and safety. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and passionate about winemaking.

Responsibilities include:

  • Follow, observe, and lead in all safe cellar practices.
  • Safely operate and maintain winery equipment such as pumps, filters, presses, and forklifts.
  • Maintain sanitation in all areas, including facility and equipment.
  • Set up equipment and maintain an organized cellar.
  • Perform wine transfer, racking, and blending.
  • Understand barrel operations, racking, filling, and topping.
  • Perform wine additions and tank measurements.
  • Operate harvest equipment, presses, hoppers, conveyor systems, and pumps.
  • Work long and flexible hours during harvest season.
  • Operate forklifts, manage barrels and case goods.
  • Lead bottling and empty barrel care projects.
  • Accurately complete work orders and operate scanners.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work standing and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
  • Perform repetitive squatting, strenuous pulling, and pushing of hoses and pumps.
  • Work any shift and overtime as needed, especially during harvest season (August - December).

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of winery experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, communicate in English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Understanding of winemaking principles, leadership, and computer skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Wage Range: $21.08 - $30.02 per hour, based on experience, skills, and location.
